The Bededger Trencher is the ultimate tool for landscape ground preparation. The 8HP Honda engine provides the power needed to cut a 1" by 9" trench in the hardest clays. The steerable wheels make fancy curves and tree rings easy. Unlike sod cutters, the Bededger mulches everything in its path. The unit then cleans the trench and piles the debris on the flower bed side of the trench. The debris can then be bagged up or raked into the flower bed. Including One Custom Mold The EPC is a larger version of the EP designed to make quick work of parking lot ribbon curb or extremely large landscape borders while feeding from a concrete truck. This machine will make curb up to 12”x12”. The EPC is not a substitute for the smaller Lil’ Bubba EP, rather a compliment to it for the contractor that is expanding to the parking lot style curb market and wants to enjoy the same operation techniques they have already mastered with the EP. The EPC has all the same features as the EP with the addition of a hand brake for extruding curb on an incline. All molds over 8” wide for the EPC are made to order. A simple sketch, with dimensions, of mold profiles to fit your needs is all that is necessary to place an order. Including Three Molds The Lil' Bubba® Auger Curb Machine has similar features as the EP machine with the exception of the patented plunger drive mechanism. This machine is instead equipped with a 4" auger. The auger drive provides extremely smooth operation, but requires very well prepared smooth surfaces. This machine works best on asphalt or concrete surfaces. The auger machine was originally designed for installing ashpalt and concrete curbs on golf cart paths in golf courses. This machine is still the most popular auger driven curb machine on the market. The Auger machines have a closed hopper bottom so they are traditionally more difficult to use in a landscape setting than a plunger or ram style. The Auger will not produce the 24" garden walks. Including Three Molds The Lil' Bubba EP plunger drive creates a consistent flow of concrete with each revolution. The unique motion of the plunger scores the concrete as it packs it into the mold (unlike other plungers or ram machines) to prevent "flat spots" and "weak areas" every couple of inches that cause cracking. The EP drive also eliminates concrete bridging in the hopper since the plunger actually moves seven inches upward into the hopper agitating the concrete, with each revolution. Lil' Bubba was designed to create continuous decorative concrete borders and walkways allowing the user to follow any existing landscape bed design, place borders as close as two inches to any stationary object and make turns with a radius as tight as fourteen inches. The Lil' Bubba EP will switch from decorative borders (curbs) to 24" walkways with just a twist of the four bolts on the front of the machine. The EPC is a largest version of our kerbing machines and preferably you would feed the concrete directly from a concrete truck. Making quick work of car parks and industrial estate kerbing. This machine will make kerb up to 300mm x 300mm (12 inches x 12 inches). However it does not work well with mould sizes less than 200mm (8 inches) wide. On top of enjoying all the same features as the EP this also has the addition of a hand brake for extruding on an incline. All moulds for this machine are custom made to order. This model is our most popular machine and the one we recommend, it has 8 different residential moulds and 3 commercial. Due to having a patented plunger design it extrudes an extremely strong kerb. Unlike other plungers or ram machines on the market it doesn't generate flat spots or weak areas that cause cracking. The EP model also eliminates concrete bridging in the hopper since the plunger actually moves 175mm (7 inches) upward into the hopper, agitating the concrete, with each revolution. One of the benefits of our machines is that they can work as close as 50mm (2 inches) to any stationary object and make turns with a radius as tight as 350mm (14 inches). This model is also the only machine in its class that allows you to switch from decorative kerbing to a 600mm (24 inch) pathway with just a quick change of its mould.
